Editorial Policy

How we source, review, update, and label content on Generational.

Mission

Generational publishes practical, respectful educational content for Asian diaspora families building wealth, supporting parents, and navigating career growth. We aim for clarity without hype and guidance without prescriptions.

Sourcing

Guides link to primary sources where possible: government agencies, established consumer finance resources, and reputable institutional publishers. We avoid unsourced statistics, anonymous expert quotes, and sensational claims.

Fact-checking

Editorial review focuses on accuracy of general descriptions, appropriate caveats, and avoidance of individualized advice. Complex topics such as taxes, benefits, and immigration are framed as starting points requiring professional confirmation.

Updates

Guides display a last updated date. We review high-traffic guides at least quarterly and update sooner when rules, rates, or program basics change materially. Calculator methodologies are reviewed when assumptions or formulas change.

Calculators

Tools are planning aids, not advice engines. They use simplified math and static assumptions. Outputs should support conversations with qualified professionals, not replace them.

Authors and bylines

MVP content may carry a generic byline such as Generational Editorial Team. As we publish named contributors, bios and relevant credentials will be displayed on articles and guides.

Advertising and sponsorship

Advertising and sponsored content will be clearly labeled and kept separate from editorial recommendations. Sponsors do not review unpublished editorial guides unless clearly marked as sponsored co-created content.

Corrections
